Hello, again! Valentine’s Day is right around the corner, and many crafters are busy making their homemade valentines. This is one of mine that I thought I’d share with you. It came out really well — the photo doesn’t do it justice, I’m afraid.
This is for a challenge posted on Unity Stamp Company‘s website. It was to simply make a card using one of their many stamps featuring girls or women. I chose this stamp called “Valentina Girl”– isn’t she pretty? She’s stamped on white card stock with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and colored in with Spectrum Noir Markers. Around the little shower of hearts are some dots of pink Stickles to add that little sparkle (you know I had to!). The background papers are from Paper Wishes. They are exclusive to members of their Personal Shopper Scrapbooking Kits, but you can buy past kits online if you go to their homepage, click on Personal Shopper, and then Buy Previous Kits. I believe these papers were from the September, 2016 kit. The border stickers are called Dazzles, also by Paper Wishes. They have a nice jewel finish — really lovely. The flower was made using the Daisy Dies from Heartfelt Creations , colored with chalk inks, swept with a Spectrum Noir Sparkle Brush Marker and accented with a sparklet in the middle. To finish it, I created a double bow using a wide purple crepe ribbon and a pink organza bow on top.
Thank you for stopping by and looking at one of my valentine cards. Please excuse the messy craft desk — a creative mind is rarely tidy! Fellow crafters, tell me if you make cards for Valentine’s Day. If so, have you started? Happy crafting!
